Responsible for directing a range of activities related to Joule's development of processes that are efficient, eco-friendly, and commercially-viable for the production of photosynthetically-derived hydrocarbon fuels. A primary focus is on plant design, including unit operation design and mass and energy balance modeling. An additional primary focus is on instrumentation and controls development for practical, cost-effective pilot- and commercial-scale plant operation.
