Turn off MATLAB interface configuration keep appearing on the terminal!! Linux (Ubuntu 20.04)

Hello everyone,
I have MATLAB 2020b student version installed on my Linux computer (Ubuntu 20.04).
I do not remember why I invoked the script "MATLAB interface configuration." The program MATLAB interface configuration is not working even though I am inputing the correct path to the MATLAB directory on my computer.
The problem is the following: every time I install a new program, the MATLAB interface configuration will run and appear on the terminal, see attached screenshot.
My questions are the following:
1) what does the progam MATLAB interface configuration do?
2) how do I stop MATLAB interface configuration from appearing every time I use the apt commad?
Kind regards, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes that is correct. MATLAB would crash when I run with sudo. Thus, I endded be installing MATLAB on the usr file. i.e., ~/.local/share/matlab, not in the root directory. I wanted to run this configuration progrm, but is says it did not find a matlab file and executable!
Any tips?

Further, I want to add that MATLAB works fine. But I keep getting that configurtion progam every time use the apt command for other software installation.
I put the correct matlab file location, yet the program fails to find it.
