How to create an app with using App Designer for Stateflow in MATLAB 2017a? Currently, I have to use MATLAB 2017a. Before that when creating app for Stateflow, I was using sfx files at 2021a version. But now I cannot create sfx files at 2017a version to connect stateflow to app designer? Is there another way to connect app designer to Stateflow?

Hi Koray,
I understand that you want to create a MATLAB app which is controlled by state machines using Stateflow.
I’d like to inform you that the ability to design state machines to control MATLAB apps was added in the MATLAB R2020b release. Hence, I recommend you use a compatible MATLAB release instead.
In releases post MATLAB R2020b, by using the new keyword ‘this, you can establish a bidirectional connection between an external MATLAB® function or app and a Stateflow chart in a Simulink® model. With this connection, you can use a chart to define the behaviour of a MATLAB app created in App Designer.
To learn more about this, please refer to the examples that illustrate this workflow:
I hope this helps!
