Launching Simulink Kills Matlab on Wayland

Hello I have some trouble running simulink on my system. I get the following error while trying to launch simulink.

I have tried with the following settings
QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1
MATLAB_OPENGL=software
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland, xwayland, x11

Any help is appreaciated.

Tried the workarounds suggested here, but still does not work. I will try and downgrade my matlab.

Solved by setting
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb
prior to launching Matlab.
