Is it possible to compile MEX files using MATLAB 2007b on windows 8?

Hi,

I'm trying to compile MEX files using MATLAB 2007b on Windows 8.

Indeed, mex -setup from MATLAB 2007b can't locate visual studio 2015 or other recent versions, so is there a trick to achieve this?

Is it possible to install an older version of visual studio on Windows 8 to be able to compile MEX files using MATLAB 2007b?
