Hi, I am installing MATLAB & Simulink Release 2011b. On windows 7 - 64bit.
And during instillation i get the error: C:\ Program Files\ MATLAB\ R2010b\ sys\ perl\ win32\ lib\ auto\ B\ B.dll (Access is denied)
why is this? what should i do? Please, i tried with Release 2011a, but i get the same error!!

Turn off UAC, or run the installation as Administrator.

Mathworks provides free support for installation issues. (There might be some delay, though, as it is a holiday season.)

I suggest you follow the kind of procedure described by satiu77 in http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/how-do-i-get-round-windows-7s-file-permissions/d048994f-7a95-469d-b2f5-b334b236a5e3 . You should be able to start at the B.dll file and move upwards from there until you find a place that hard-codes permissions instead of inheriting them from a higher level.
