Stop MatLab freezing/hang up. HELP

78 views (last 30 days)
I recently bought MatLab R2015b and now when I run MatLab it starts "Processing..." and hangs / freezes if I don't cancel it! 1) What does "Processing..." mean or what does it do? 2) MatLab CPU Usage goes through the roof while "Processing..." is running(e.g. 400%, generally around 2%). 3) The "Processing..." thing runs like every Minute.
Is there a solution how I can stop this "Processing..." or how to stop freeze while "Processing..." is running. Any help would be great cuz atm I can't use MatLab properly!

I'm running Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) and the message appears at the bottom left in a yellow window.

Go in to your preferences in MATLAB and turn off Source Code Control.

So what was the root cause? Does Source Control just plain not work? Does it have a bug? Or is it working properly and you just have a massive number of files such that it took an incredibly long time?
