Access violation with parfor

I had a long series of codes that worked well with both "for" as well as with changing to "parfor" version. Before sharing the code with others, I wanted to structure the code better by splitting specific parts in to separate scripts.
Unfortunately with the new code version, it fails during the parfor process with "Access violation.." and wants to close down Matlab immediately. On the other hand, changing parfor to for in the new version does NOT cause any issues and it executes correctly (albeit extremely slowly).
I have tried it on a different PC, but the issue remains. How could I go about debugging? Major part of my code is based on optimizing different set of functions for different values of the parameters associated with each function.

My issue got resolved. The tech support asked a crucial question which was applicable to my case--> Are you using the "run" command to execute the other scripts you have recently written? If so, do these scripts called with "run" utilize "parfor"?
As soon as I replaced run('CallAnotherScript') with just CallAnotherScript the issue disappeared.
For the record here is the old set-up
a. Code based on run function
%Script1
Series of matlab codes. None of them has parfor
run('CallAnotherScript') % This is the final line of code in Script1
%CallAnotherScript
Series of matlab codes before parfor
parfor code which calls functions but no scripts % This is where the Access violation happens
Series of matlab codes after parfor
b. Code without run function
%Script1
Series of matlab codes. None of them has parfor
CallAnotherScript % This is the final line of code in Script1
%CallAnotherScript
Series of matlab codes before parfor
parfor code which calls functions but no scripts % NO more errors
Series of matlab codes after parfor
Anybody have an idea as to why/how by removing run function the issue disappeared?
