TI C2000 Delfino 28335 - Error Unable to connect to the 'TI Delfino F2833x' target for 'c28x_serial_ext'.

I can't run successfully c28x_serial_ext on a Delfino F28335 Dockcard. Hardware itself is working fine, since I can run my own programs from CCS 7.1.0 and CCS 6.2.0.
I have one TMP100 I2C temperature sensors connected to dock pins 32 and 33 and no other hardware attached.
I've set baud rate to 115000 in Control Panel -> Device Manager, matching example instructions and Configuration Parameters. Also tried a slower baud (9600), setting it both in Device Manager and Configuration Parameters. I notice there is an initial communication, since LEDs are reset after I click Run, then one LED goes up and gets locked.
Here is the error message:
Error occurred while executing External Mode MEX-file 'ext_serial_win32_comm': Failed to connect to the target. A time-out occurred while waiting for the connection response from the target. Possible reasons for the time-out: a) The target is not switched on. b) The target is not connected to your host machine. c) The application for the model is not running on the target. Hi I have the same problem with c28x_serial_ext. Did you find any solution?
I really need real-time logging and tuning.

Could you please check on the following points:
1. Ensure the GPIO pins for SCI_A port and the one configured on simulink are same. 2.
