unsharp masking

Hi,

I need to write a code to create unsharp masking to an image(to remove blurr) and then apply high boost filter to it?

Can any body suggest me, how to start with this.

to reduce noise (wrong pixels) use a median or mean filter. http://www.mathworks.de/help/toolbox/images/ref/medfilt2.html

consider: too big values for [m n] will also reduce your image details
