Use of MATLAB rain-flow counting method.

Hi,

I have an array of discharges and charges for an electric vehicle during a driving route. I want to use a rain-flow counting method to determine the number of cycles this results in before the car battery is dead. Have heard that there is a MATLAB-function for this, but how is it used for my purpose?
