Greetings all,
I'm trying to create a dispersion relation plot. (frequency vs. wavenumber) I have two columns col1=field data and col2 = time
My question is...If I took the fft2(X) would this produce a fft in space and in time?
Here is what I have been attempting to use:
dt = (7.62629947812*10^-12)*10; %dump interval set to 10 time steps
t = (0:dt:dt*300047)';
Bz = data(:,9);
w =horzcat(Bz,t);
plot(abs(w))
Thanks for your time

Take a look at my post here for an idea of what is output from FFT2:

it goes wrong when time series is long
