I'm trying to obtain a pdf as little as possible in file size from a simulink model. I noticed a big difference in resulting pdf file size between the following two procedures:
1) using matlab command:
print -dpdf -s test.pdf
2) using Simulink print dialog: File > Print > Print > Print to file > test.pdf
While the rusulting pdfs look the same, option 1) produces a 308KB pdf, option 2) only 22KB
Is there a way to obtains the pros from the two options: little size but from command line?

I have a similar problem.
Matlab 2015b:
simulink dialog -> small pdf file size
matlab command -> small pdf file size
Matlab 2018b:
simulink dialog -> small pdf file size
matlab command (print or saveas) -> big pdf file size
What would the print command look like which reproduces the exact same behavior and output file (size) as the simulink dialog?
