New Matlab user

Can anyone suggest me a tutorial, webinar or any other document available on the website which explains well the basics of Matlab. Mainly stuff related to Finance.

You could start with How to learn MATLAB, and the Financial Toolbox Users Guide has a tutorial. Do you have the Financial Toolbox?

Regarding the Financial Toolbox I don't know if I have it or not. I have a version provided by the Uni. So I don't if it also includes the Financial Toolbox. Is there a way to verify it?

One way is to type 'doc' and then click on 'Contents'. Each of the little orange or blue book symbols indicates a toolbox.

you can also type in 'ver' in the command window and that will tell you your current MATLAB version and what toolboxes you have installed
