Issue starting Matlab: mw_olm.exe does not work

Hi There

I downloaded and installed a trial version of Matlab R2019a on a 64bit based Windows 10 system. The installation went along without any warnings or errors. However, as i tried to open the program the message "mw_olm.exe does not work anymore" popped up and the program couldn't open. I tried deinstalling and reinstalling the program several times but unfortunately, this didn't fix the bug.

Does anyone know how I can fix this Problem?

I can recurrent app crash reports under

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive

related to the attempt to start-up matlab, all of them making reference to mw_olm.exe

all of them contain towards the end:

FriendlyEventName=Stopped working
ConsentKey=BEX64
AppName=mw_olm.exe
AppPath=C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2019a\bin\win64\mw_olm.exe

I contacted the technical support of Mathworks about this issue. They said that it had something to do with the login named user licensing and they could fix it on their end.

I would suggest you contact them as well. They're really quick! They fixed it in a day for me. Since then, Matlab runs smoothely.
