How can I acssess File in a compute node in my cluster

• I have files stored in path 'x'
• I'm using this code
• if true

     spmd

              index_loc=getLocalPart(index_d);
              tic;
              for j=index_loc
                  temp=imread(strcat('x/',num2str(j),'.jpg'));

              end
              toc
      end
  end

and getting error that file doesn't exist

Can you clarify:

• what is index_d and what kinds of values are in it?
• examples of what the file names look like (e.g. img54927.jpg)

Also, if you do this manually, e.g.

spmd
    temp=impread('full_path_to/filename.jpg');
end

Does it work as expected? You can use spmd pretty interactively at the command prompt for troubleshooting.
