why is ple; the error?

I'm running a code fine on a destop computer. I copied the code onto my macbook pro and now I am unable to run the code I recieve the error
Error in (name of code) (line 1004)
ple;
is there another way to write ple?

Once the path for homeDir was fixed the error didn't show up again. Not sure if the issues were compelety connected but I able to run the program again.
