simulate a wireless visual sensor networks

I want to simulate a wireless visual sensor networks using MatLab. My data is the images taken by camera equipped sensors and sent to network. I would appreciate if any one could help me how to simulate this network and how to use images as data. I need to do some processing on images in each node. Is it possible to simulate this network just by Matlab or I have to use anther simulation.
