Maximum Lifetime of old Matlab Versions & Limitations of availability due to licenses

4 views (last 30 days)
Hello Mathworks Support,
due to our current contracts we need to be able to maintain our simulink models up to 15 years after "End of Production“.
Our models are embedded into a quite complex toolchain, so usually we avoid plenty of migration problems by keeping alive single tool versions for as long as possible. On top of that, we are not able to migrate any tool version for a major timeframe at the end of the product lifetime (i.e. from the intended „End of Development“ of our company up to 15 years after the intended „End of Production“ by our customer).
For how long can we get licenses for old Mathworks Products? Is there a limitation at all?
Our current worst case scenario comprises a hotfix for our models in 2045, running on a virtual machine with Windows 10 and Matlab/Simulink R2017b.
With this constellation in mind, can Mathworks assure that necessary Mathworks licenses are still available to us?
Regards
