Users can easily estimate the measurement time to detect necessary volume of cosmic ray muons in the shallow underground and at sea level.
This program is vaild when 0 < m.w.e < 1,000, where m.w.e stands for meter water equivalent.
Three models are used in this program to estimate cosmic muon flux.
- Effective solid angle model [J. Bae and S. Chatzidakis (2021)]
- Underground vertical muon intensity [Barbouti and Rastin (1983)]
- Underground muon angular distribution [Miyake (1973)]
Users are welcome to use "Underground_muon.m".
However, please appropriately cite the above journal papers in your publication!
Best wishes,
Bae
