The program takes as input the cost characteristics of the two generating units (unit number, minimum generation level, incremental fuel cost, and constant term of the quadratic fuel cost function) and the system demand. The objective is to determine the optimal generation levels for the two units that meet the demand at the minimum cost. The program uses the lambda-iteration method to solve the problem, where the Lagrange multiplier lambda is updated iteratively until the system demand is met. The program also takes into account transmission losses by using loss coefficients for the two generating units. The program outputs the optimal generation levels, incremental fuel cost, penalty factors, and total generation cost.
