Open-water evaporation

This code can be used to estimate lake evaporation at different timescales, where the effect of heat storage change was considered.

You are now following this Submission

This code can be used for estimating evaporation from open water bodies (e.g., lakes and reserviors), where two energy balance-based models were used, namely the Priestley-Taylor model and the De-Bruin-Keijman model. The impact of heat storage change on evaporation estimation was considered by a water temperature model, that is the equilibirum temperature method. The addition of the water temperature model allows both evaporation models to be applied to varying timescales from hourly to monthly.
