Overhead stirrer GUI controller for OHS 60 Advance.
The GUI controller has been tested for 2 OHS 60 Advance overhead stirrers. I assume it can also work with models 100 and 200, all fabricated by VELP Scientifica. The gear-change option is not included for the latter model.
This app is designed to connect and control 2 overhead stirrers using Modbus communication protocol. It can work in synchronous/asynchronous mode, stream the data to a ‘.csv’ file (timer, speed, temperature, and torque), set a timer (external) to power off the motors and plot real-time measurements.
Stirrers can be connected to a CPU by a USB-micro to USB-A/C cable.
IMPORTANT: install the driver from Silicon Labs under the model CP210x USB to UART Bridge before using the app.
Once initialised, the app scans available COM ports. Refresh button is available.
After connecting to a stirrer, the model, SN, and ID are displayed.
To select a folder to stream the data, go to the menu File/Recording data directory…
The rest of the app is very intuitive. Feel free to message me if any concerns arise.
