The solution of static and dynamic anayses involves solving large system of equations. Static condensation useful to reduce the size of matrices and therefore computation cost. The dependent or secondary nodal values could be internal nodes, or nodes without applied loads. Moreover, static condensation is useful when performing substructuring analysis (Gruber and Rutzmoser, 2015) as shown in Fig. 1, when dependent nodal values are condensed out remaining just the independent or interface variables before assembling process.
