Quantum Expectation Values

Compute expectation values of quantum states

You are now following this Submission

In general, the expectation value is the average over all measurement outcomes, weighted by their probability of occuring. Expectation values are a fundamental concept and arise in many quantum computing applications. This contribution allows you to:
  • Construct an observable from a Hermitian matrix or an array of Pauli strings and weights.
  • Compute expection values of the observable on a quantum state
