This Live Script repeatedly simulates the outcome of partly random walks in one dimension, each walk a sequence of steps with a random element, the variation in step length governed by a choice of probability distribution. One can observe the standard deviation from the mean of the distribution of net walk length increase over time and observe that distribution shape evolve towards a normal distribution no matter what the step length probability distribution might be, in accordance with the central limit theorem.
This script is intended for students learning concepts of probability. 'Try this" suggestions are included for further exploration.
