Step Down Autotransformer
Version 1.0.0 (70.8 KB) by
Fatima Mohammed Ali
MATLAB/Simulink model used for simulation of the Step Down Autotransformer by using the Core Geometry (Kg) approach.
The autotransformer is a unique and special transformer. The autotransformer can provide a step-up voltage or a step-down voltage for the input with good regulation. The biggest advantage of an autotransformer is the reduction in size, weight, and cost compared with an equivalent isolation transformer, as long as the designed secondary voltage is within the limits of the primary voltage. The Core Geometry (Kg) Approach is used as an efficient approach for design. MATLAB/SIMULINK is used to simulate the system and obtain the results.
