IEEE 50-Generator 145-Bus system benchmark was developed by Laval University for advanced technical teaching, training and research-oriented on power systems. The authors of the SimPowerSystems implementation of this benchmark are Raoult Teukam Dabou, Innocent Kamwa and Delavari Atieh and Fouad Slaoui Hasnaoui, from Laval University (UL) and University of Québec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT). The model has 145 bus, 50 generators (modelling suitable models for turbine, governor systems, power system stabilizers and multi-band power system stabilizer based on common parameters), 401 lines, 52 transformers and 102 loads.
