Numerical Quantum Mechanics in 3D II

Live script exploring three-dimensional bound states of a quantum particle with a 4th-order finite difference method.

You are now following this Submission

This Live Script explores the three-dimensional spatial bound states of a non-relativistic quantum particle using a 4th-order finite difference numerical method. It supplements Ref[1] and Ref[2] which apply a 2nd-order method to one-dimensional and three-dimensional problems. A particle in a 3D box, a 3D anisotropic harmonic oscillator in a box, and a boxed hydrogen atom are used to illustrate.
This script may interest students and instructors in physics, chemistry, and related STEM fields. 'Try this' suggestions, 'Challenges', and references are included for further exploration. Additional Live Scripts for STEM education by the author are available at the File Exchange.
