SEPIC converter

A SEPIC (Single-Ended Primary Inductor Converter) is a type of DC-DC converter that can step up or step down voltage

How SEPIC Works (Operation Modes)
1. Switch ON
  • The switch (MOSFET) is closed.
  • Energy is stored in both inductors (L1 and L2).
  • Capacitor C1C1C1 is charged and transfers energy.
2. Switch OFF
  • The switch opens.
  • Inductor L1 transfers energy to the load via the diode.
  • C1 provides energy to L2 and the load.
