This function plots the root locus of a system 'sys' and also adds the asymptotes to the graph as black dashed lines. In case the asymptote is the x-axis, then the asymptote is not printed. This is done because in this case, part of the x-axis belongs to the root locus, and adding a dashed line on the x-axis will make the graph look crowded. If you do not like this, simply remove the if-control lines.
