This script provides an illustrative, GPU-friendly animation of the Weissenberg effect (rod-climbing phenomenon) typically observed in polymer systems and viscoelastic fluids. When a rotating rod is inserted into such a fluid, normal stress differences cause the fluid to climb up the rod, defying gravity.
Important Note
This is a phenomenological graphical visualization, not a quantitative Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solver.
