## Overview:An interactive educational dashboard and simulation suite designed for Power Electronics courses. This application allows undergraduate engineering students and instructors to visualize, analyze, and compare the physical and mathematical properties of the four fundamental Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) firing topologies.
The software utilizes an isolated two-panel tabbed interface architecture to separate conceptual comparison frameworks from dynamic line-synchronized numerical plotting engines.
### Key Features Included
* **Overview & Comparison Module:** A consolidated data matrix evaluating Firing Range limitations, Control Variables, Loop Linearity behaviors, and Gate Thermal Junction Stress across all topologies.
* **Resistance (R) Mode Firing:** Demonstrates the phase-aligned boundary condition restricting conduction control to alpha 90 degree.
* **Resistance-Capacitance (RC) Mode Firing:** Illustrates the phase-lag networks tracking capability expanding the trigger boundary up to approx 180 degree.
* **UJT Relaxation Oscillator Mode:** Models real-time exponential capacitor charging states to show the implementation of synchronized high-energy isolation gate spikes with minimum thermal load.
* **Cosine Linear Triggering Mode:** Displays a feedforward linearization transformation matching control loops (Vdc proportional to Vc) by canceling out non-linear trigonometric dependencies.
### Technical Metrics Solved Programmatically
* **Dynamic Waveform Chopping Engine:** Line-synchronized voltage slicing tracking identically across multiple input periods.
* **Global Mathematical Matrix Readouts:** Live, simultaneous recalculation of Firing Angles ($\alpha$), dynamic Source RMS, and chopped Load RMS Volts.
* **Refined UI Controls:** Fully structured slider tick boundaries tracking standard integer increments alongside clean LaTeX typeset theory equations.
## How to Run
1. Download the `.mlappinstall` file or the source code folder.
2. If using the installer, double-click to install it directly into your MATLAB Apps gallery tab.
3. If running from source, make sure all circuit schematic images (`.jpg`) are saved inside the root folder alongside the main app execution file.
