Image Over Larger Matrix, Select ROI with resizeable window

Illustrates how a smaller matrix may be 'brushed' against a larger one without overflowing.

You are now following this Submission

main executing reference usages:
[1] brushSmallerImageOverAnother.m
The objective is to illustrate how a smaller matrix may be 'brushed' against a larger one without overflowing.
Such operations are common in image processing.
If the smaller matrix is desired to start from the top left corner of the larger matrix, zero padding to the larger matrix may be an option. That is, given the smaller matrix, n by n, the larger matrix, m by m, has to be appended to a size of m + 2*(n-1) rows by m + 2*(n-1) columns.
[2] computeRegionalStatisticsOf_ROI
: brush a NxN window to compute the average value, variance, etc. of each region of interest (ROI).
* Caveat : Illustrative Purposes
If the demo has more elegant presentation, please do not hesitate to suggest and send feedback to author.
Thank you.
