Understanding densely sampled data from a sediment core or section can be difficult, and there are many statistical tools to tell how, for example grain size distribution varies over time/depth in a sediment sample. However, it is often more intuitive to plot densely sampled data as a "contour" or "3D" plot showing how grain size distribution varies at different depth. This script imports for example a standard Coulter spreadsheet output and creates contour and 3D plots. The script 'sedi3D' uses functions 'vectorblock' and 'colsub'.
