Tabular Data Packages:
Sharing and using data can be a pain. Different file formats can create nightmares for importing data into your favorite tool (e.g. MATLAB).
The goal of the http://dataprotocols.org/ Tabular Data Package standard is provide a lightweight standard for sharing and using data. The standard makes it easy to consume data in the tool of your choice.
Examples of open data in the Tabular Data Package format can be found from the Open Knowledge Foundation, at http://data.okfn.org/data
