Video processing for permeability characterisation
This code processes video footage from radial flow tests (typically performed with fabric reinforcement materials) in order to calculate detailed anisotropic permeability. The user is required to input several test parameters and video processing parameters, along with a direct measurement conversion based on two points in the video footage. The code then works autonomously to track the advancing flow front through video frames, recording time-history measurements of the flow front in an unlimited number of directions.
A linear regression is taken for the advancing flow front in each direction such that a quasi-isotropic permeability value can be calculated based on Darcy's law.
The results can also be plot in relation to traditional 3-direction methods for permeability characterisation, and the complete list of directional data can be exported.
