The following files are included:
poly_poly_dist.m - Find minimum distance between two polylines. Polyline is defined as a set of nv-1 segments connecting nv ordered vertices v(1), v(2), ..., v(nv). Distance between 2 non-intersecting polylines poly1 and poly2 is defined as a minimum of distances of poly1 vertices to poly2 segments, or poly2 segments to poly1 vertices. If polylines intersect, the distance is set to zero, and the coordinates of intersection points are returned.
test_poly_poly_dist.m - a simple unit test for poly_poly_dist. Plots the results of a call to poly_poly_dist function (see help for usage example).
p_poly_dist.m - Compute the distances from each one of a set of np points p(1), p(2),... p(np) on a 2D plane to a polyline or a closed polygon. This is a helper function for poly_poly_dist, please see http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/12744-distance-from-points-to-polyline-or-polygon
