Enhanced Change Directory (ecd)

Change to a directory, creating it if needed.

ecd can be used exactly as the built-in cd function. If the desired directory does not exist, the function will create it and switch as normal. Calling ecd with no argument simply calls the built-in cd and returns the current directory.
This function must be added to the MATLAB path in order to be used.
