Simple Catapult Simulation

Simulation of a simple catapult using ode45 with event detection.

Two-phase simulation of a simple torsion catapult: 1) catapult arm rotates, accelerating projectile, 2) projectile flies through the air. This code was designed as a tutorial for a sophomore dynamics class, demonstrating how to use ode45 with event detection to solve multiple-phase dynamics problems. It also shows some basic animation and plotting techniques.
