The maximum recuperation power of an electric vehicle must be limited concerning battery voltage. While the car is braking, battery voltage increases because of the internal resistance of the battery cells. If the battery is full, the maximum recuperation current cannot be used then, because the battery voltage would go over its maximum. Therefore recuperation power has to increase slightly. The used electrical power is integrated. Then it is multiplied with a factor. The outcome is the maximum recuperation power. If the recuperation power is at recuperation current maximum it stops to increase.
