Given a plant model, play around with PID parameters and get to plot a step function

1) Given a plant model, play around with PID parameters; and get to plot an impulse response of the entire system.
2) Limited to Second Order systems, though this can be modified.
3) When you are satisfied with the simulated impulse response, use the PID parameters to design a practical PID controller.
