Hexagonal grids are used in some games but aren’t quite as straightforward or common as square grids. I’ve been using hex grid for more than three years, and published this code that lead to the simplest formation of a hexagonal grid.
While using this code, please, cite our paper, for which the code was developed, "Measuring Behaviour as Perceptual Control Using Human Simulations of Predator and Prey Pursuit." S. Sandhu, T. Gulrez, M. Parker, W. Mansell. Measuring Behavior 2018, Manchester, UK.
