Wireless Network Hardware Implementation with SDR

This example implements a wireless multi-node network model to demonstrate the workflow for rapid prototyping of Software Defined Radio.

Wireless system engineers always have the strong desire to verify and optimize their system architecture, baseband signal processing algorithm, system control protocols by an SDR/FPGA prototype long before the HW design team gets the first silicon prototype. For some cases, the SDR/FPGA prototype can be used as a product directly. MathWorks® provides a powerful toolset to convert Simulink® system models to SDR/FPGA implementations. In this video, we use a relatively complicated wireless network model to demonstrate the procedure for rapidly converting the Simulink model to an SDR/FPGA prototype and measuring the real network throughputs by over-the-air testing.
