Freely Rotating Chain
Version 1.0.0 (1.7 KB) by
Martin Thomas
Freely rotating chain model in two dimensions
A freely rotating chain is an ideal chain; a variant on the freely jointed chain model. In this model the angle and length of each bond is fixed, and the bonds are made at + or - of the chosen angle from the previous bond. In a sense, a molecule, for example, is free to rotate (with fixed angle) to find a suitable place to link. Some thermodynamic properties have also been included. A choice to animate the plot has also been included.
