An open-source balancing robot intended for teaching control and system theory
Updated 3 Jul 2020

EduBal (Educational Balancing Robot) is an open-source balancing robot developed by the Institute of Automatic Control at RWTH Aachen University. The robot is designed to be low-cost, safe and easy to use for teaching control and system theory to students. It is built around a Texas Instruments LAUNCHXL-F28069M development board. Using Embedded Coder Support package for Texas Instruments C2000 processors, the robot can directly be programmed with Simulink models. Running the models in Simulink's external mode allows the live interactive tuning of the controller parameters.
