Bidirectional VSI based Regenerative Braking for BLDC Motor

The model uses bidirectional VSI to transfer power during braking conditions , and the energy is stored in the battery.

Energy storage is an important aspect in electric vehicles and power converters play a vital role in optimal power transfer and ensure overall performance of the electric vehicle. In this project a Bidirectional Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) is proposed for power transfer. The main advantage of this converter is that without using the additional rectifier and ultra-capacitor energy regeneration is achieved during braking condition.
