What’s New in MATLAB and Simulink in 2025

Learn about the latest features in MATLAB^® and Simulink^®. MATLAB introduces a redesigned desktop with customizable sidebars, light and dark desktop themes, new side panels for common coding and software development tasks, and expanded options for organizing and customizing figures. MATLAB Copilot, an AI assistant optimized for MATLAB, delivers generative AI–powered support within the desktop to help you learn techniques, develop ideas, and boost productivity. Simulink enhancements include an improved “quick insert” tool with detailed block information and automatic straightening of signal lines for easier model editing. Additional updates feature improved Python^® integration in both MATLAB and Simulink, as well as new options for deploying AI models to Qualcomm and Infineon hardware devices.
