Overview

This hands-on workshop introduces parallel computing in MATLAB for accelerating computationally intensive applications. The workshop also covers the fundamentals of GPU computing and techniques for processing large datasets. About the Presenter

Alessio Conte is an Education Customer Success Engineer at MathWorks specializing in high-performance and parallel computing with MATLAB. He supports academic and research collaborations across universities and research institutions. He holds a master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome. 

Prerequisites

  • Basic MATLAB skills are recommended. If you are a complete MATLAB beginner, you can look through the MATLAB Academy, specifically the free MATLAB Onramp online course to familiarize yourself with MATLAB beforehand.
  • A supported browser Browser Requirements - MATLAB & Simulink
  • A MathWorks Account.  If you do not already have a MathWorks Account, please go to MathWorks Account Sign In to create one. Anyone can create an account for free, it is not required that your university has a campus license.
  • Instead of the MATLAB Online instance, you may use your own installation of MATLAB if it has a multi-core CPU and access to a GPU.
