4-Way 3-Position Valve Parameterization

This example shows how to parameterize and test a 4-way 3-position valve with a test harness. A plotting script compares the output flow between the block and data to verify the test harness. This example also contains a live script to explain the parameterization and the test harness workflow in detail.

Model

The following figure shows a 4-way 3-position valve test harness. The Pressure Source (IL) blocks and attached Ramp blocks create pressure boundaries for the directional control valve. A Constant block provides the spool displacement.

Simulation results from Simscape™ logging

The model test harness is parameterized for the positive and the negative spool positions and the simulated output is compared to the parameterization setting.
